Familiarize yourself with the following online help features. They will help you to better utilize the help system.

Preferences  | Using the Preferences dialog box, specify how you want help to display:

Opening the Sybase WorkSpace bookshelf  | You can open the online help in an embedded Web browser from a variety of locations. You can also use an external Web browser. See Online Help Access below for more information.  | 
Opening the Help view  | A dynamic Help view provides context-sensitive help for the current task. In wizards, preference windows, launch configurations, searches and other multi-page dialog boxes, you can press F1 again to update the Help view contents as you progress from page to page.  | 
Printing a help topic  | Print selected topics by clicking the Print Page icon in the toolbar.  | 
Searching for a topic  | Use the Search feature to locate topics based on key words. You can perform a help search directly from the bookshelf or using the dynamic Help view.  | 
Collections  | The online help is organized into collections of topics in the online bookshelf. To identify a topic, view the topic title bar.  | 
Glossaries  | Each collection has its own glossary. To access a glossary, expand the collection category.  | 
Breadcrumbs  | A hierarchy displays at the top of each topic. You can review the hierarchical sequence of the topic you are viewing in the collection, and you can also select a category and move up the hierarchy. To return to your original topic, click the Back arrow in the tool bar.  |

Pressing F1 (Windows) Pressing Shift +F1 (Linux)  | When you press F1 in an editor or a view, a dynamic Help view opens displaying context-sensitive help. It displays a list of links to topics that are relevant to the editor or view. NoteTo locate the topic in the collection, click Show in Table of Contents
