When you create a Web Application project, you can create a blank project or use a template. If you create a blank project, you can select component support and add project references. If you use a template, your project inherits the component support defined in the template.
The following templates are available in the New Web Application Project wizard:
Blank Project
A blank project includes JavaServer Faces (JSF) component support, which is selected by default. You can add DataWindow and SOAP service component support to a blank project.
