You can create a new faces-config.xml file. The Faces Configuration File wizard assigns a new version number to the file, and you can choose to update the web.xml file with the new faces configuration information.
To create a Faces Configuration file:
Select File|New|JSF Configuration File from the main menu bar of the Web Application Development perspective.
The Faces Configuration File wizard opens.

Follow the wizard instructions.
The wizard displays help that assists you in creating the file.
