The .log file is an Eclipse component that contains only exception errors. It is useful mostly for technical support and is not used for debugging services or runtime server activities. The path to this file depends on how you installed Sybase WorkSpace. If you chose the default path at installation, the path for the .log file is C:\Documents and Settings\<user ID>\workspace\.metadata\.log, where <user ID> is your user ID.
To view the Sybase WorkSpace log file:
Open the Error Log view. Select Window|Show view|Other|PDE Runtime|Error Log from the main menu bar.
