Use the EAServer Log Viewer to view log files from inside Sybase WorkSpace.
Verify that you have an EAServer connection profile to connect to the server that hosts your services.
Navigate to the connection profile in Enterprise Explorer. If the connection profile is not connected, right-click the profile and choose Connect.
Choose Window|Show View|Other|Sybase|EAServer Log Viewer.
The EAServer Log Viewer displays with one tabbed page for each EAServer connection profile that is currently connected. If you have more than one active EAServer connection profile, click the connection profile name in the tabs to display logs from the corresponding server.
Use the Log File drop-down menu to select the log file you wish to view. The following table lists the log file names in the as-installed configuration. Administrators can change the log file names as described in Chapter 3, "Creating and Configuring Servers," in the EAServer System Administration Guide. Therefore, the log file names may not match those in the table.
EAServer log file names (as installed)
Log File Name | Description |
---|---|
Jaguar.log | The main log file.
Records messages logged from:
|
Jaguarhttpservlet.log | The servlet engine log file. Logs errors and messages related to servlet and Java Server Pages (JSP) execution. |
Jaguarhttprequest.log | The HTTP request log. |
Jaguarout.log | The console log file, which allows remote viewing of console output. |
The log files can also be viewed with any text editor, in the bin subdirectory of the EAServer installation.
See Chapter 3, "Creating and Configuring Servers," in the EAServer System Administration Guide under the Sybase WorkSpace Server Administration collection.
