Sybase WorkSpace provides a private UDDI server. A private UDDI server is an internal registry that provides an index of Web services in a particular domain, behind the firewall and isolated from the public network. This ensures that access to both the administrative features and registry data are secured. Data in the registry is not shared with any other registries.
The private UDDI server included with Sybase WorkSpace adheres to the following UDDI specifications published at http://www.uddi.org:
API Specification 2.04 - The application user interface for accessing UDDI programmatically.
Data Structure Reference 2.03 - The datatypes that make up the complete amount of information provided within the UDDI service description framework.
Operator Specification 2.01 - General guidelines for managing and maintaining the registration information within the UDDI registry.
For complete information on managing the UDDI server included with Sybase WorkSpace, see “Managing the Private UDDI” in Chapter 7, “The Private UDDI Server” in the current release of the EAServer documentation.
Additional infomation about UDDI can be found at http://www.uddi.org.
