Sybase® WorkSpace supports the development of composite business process services and allows you to extend its reach in the enterprise by integrating any of the following features.
Set up alerts in a business process service to notify authorized personnel of critical business events.
For example, alert a customer service manager when customer wait times exceed a defined limit, or notify a trading partner when inventory items reach a defined re-order level.
See Alert Messaging for more information.
Set up monitor services within a business process to extract and analyze business data from a business process. Authorized users can then view the aggregated data in the Monitor Console or a BAM Dashboard.
See Business Activity Monitoring for more information.
Create message definitions for non-XML message types. Then, develop a transformation service to map the message data and use the transformation within a business process.
For example, a purchase order application submits purchase order message data in a non-XML message to a business process service to handle a customer's request for goods and services. The message data is transformed into XML using the transformation service and can then be reserialized for output using another transformation service, or directly output from the business process as XML.
See Custom Wire Formats for more information.
Synchronize and communicate database changes and updates to enterprise systems with the use of Database Event Management and Replication Server®. The database events produced by Replication Server can be captured by Unwired Orchestrator and managed through a business process service.
See Database Event Management for more information.
