To generate objects from a message definition:

  1. (Optional) To check for errors that must be fixed before generating the message definition, right-click a message definition, for example, YourMsg.wfim, in the WorkSpace Navigator, and select Validate from the context menu.

  2. Do one of the following to generate objects for a message definition:

    • In the WorkSpace Navigator, right-click a message definition, for example, YourMsg.wfim, and select Generate from the context menu.

    • In the Message Details tab of the Message Definition Editor, right-click in the editor window and select Generate message definition from the context menu.

    • In the Message Details tab of the Message Definition Editor, select Message Editor|Generate message definition from the main menu bar.

Object generation errors are displayed in the Error Log view and also in a dialog box.
