Selecting Services for Access Configuration

For each service you want to make public, you must select the service and set access configuration settings. This procedure is one of the steps required for developing a services package profile and is performed from the Access Configuration page of the Services Package Profile editor.

Note

Before you can define access configuration for a service, the interfaces that you want to expose must be bound to an endpoint. See Configuring Endpoints for a Services Package Profile.

  1. By default, all of the services in a package are selected to be publicly accessible. Click to deselect any service you do not want to be publicly accessible. At least one service in the package profile must be exposed for the package to be deployable.

  2. Select a service and click Expose Service.... The Select Transport dialog appears and allows you to designate transports over which the service is exposed:

    • To designate a transport from the list, select the transport and click OK. Transports displayed in the selection list are those listed in the Transports section of the page. For additional information, see Managing Transports used to Configure Service Access.

    • To add a transport, click New. Select the transport type and complete the New Transport wizard. The new transport displays in the Transports section of the page.

  3. To remove a designated transport, select the transport and click Remove.

  4. To change a designated transport, select the service and click Expose Service....

  5. Save the package profile.
