Updating Services Package Profile Contents

For both the Sybase Services Package Profile editor and the EAServer 5.x Services Package Profile editor, use the Contents page to update the services to be included in the package. Changes made to the contents on this editor page are reflected in the package profile file (For Sybase Services Package Profile: <file name>.svcpkgdef. For EAServer 5.x Services package Profile: <file name>.axissvcpkgdef)) in the WorkSpace Navigator.

The services included in the package profile and service dependencies are displayed in the Contents page. From this page, you can add to or remove services from the package profile.

After you have verified that the services displayed on the Contents page are the services to include in the package profile, you are ready to continue developing the services package definition by configuring endpoints, configuring access, and configuring runtime for the package profile.

To add a service to the package profile:

  1. From the Services section in the Contents page, select Add.

    The Add Services dialog opens.

  2. Select the checkbox for the services you want to add to the package profile and click Next. You can add a single service or multiple services. You can also add Sybase WorkSpace Services from the project, or Predefined Services.

  3. Click Finish to add the services to the package profile. The services package profile file (For Sybase Services Package Profile: <file name>.svcpkgdef. For EAServer 5.x Services package Profile: <file name>.axissvcpkgdef)) is updated and the Contents page of the editor displays the complete set of services included in the package profile.

  4. Save the services package profile.

To remove a service from the package profile:

  1. From the Services section in the Contents page, select the service you want to remove.

  2. Click Remove.

  3. The services package profile file (For Sybase Services Package Profile: <file name>.svcpkgdef. For EAServer 5.x Services package Profile: <file name>.axissvcpkgdef) is updated and the Contents page of the editor displays the complete set of services included in the package definition.

  4. Save the services package profile.
