Defining Service Operation Properties for a Business Process Service

As part of developing a business process service, you must define operation properties for each operation in the business process service.

When an operation is selected in the Business Process Service Interface diagram, its Operation Properties appear in either the Properties section of the Service Interface page or the Properties Panel view, whichever you select to use.

Before you complete this task, you must add service operations.

To edit the properties of an operation:

In the Business Process Service editor, click the Service Interface tab.
The Business Process Service Interface page appears.
In the Service Interface diagram, select the operation.

In Properties, edit the following:

Operation properties

Property	Description
Name	Rename the operation from the default name to a meaningful name.
Description	Provide an internal description, such as an explanation of this operation.
Input Message Name	Provide the name of the input message.
Output Message Name	Provide the name of the output message.
Visible	It is recommended this be kept at the default of Visible.

Select File|Save from the main menu bar to save the service.
