Developing a Business Process Service

Develop a business process service to provide runtime access to an outbound Web service. The result of this process is a service file that can be deployed during runtime.

The following workflow guides you through the development process. For assistance in performing these tasks, open the Business Process Service cheat sheet.

  1. Complete the setup.

  2. Create a Business Process service.

  3. Build the service.

    1. Learn more about the service editor.

    2. Add activities to build the business process.

    3. Define service operation parameters.

    4. Define service operation parameter properties.

    5. Edit interface properties.

    6. (Optional) Define correlation sets.

    7. Connect the activities to define the flow of execution.

    8. Review the service Summary.

Note

If you change any resource referenced in a business process, you must save the business process to generate the errors the change caused. The errors display in the Problems view.
