Setting Up Connection Profiles for Service Development

You can create the following types of connection profiles for service development:

Connection Type	Profile Name
Application Servers	EAServer Connection Profile
Monitor Servers	Monitor Server Connection Profile
Service Containers	Service Container Connection Profile (EAServer)
UDDI Registries	UDDI Registry Connection Profile
Message Transports	File Connection Profile FTP Connection Profile JMS Connection Profile Note Connections to messaging transports that do not use connection profiles, such as email and generic JMS providers can be used. See User Specified Connection Properties for Messaging Types.
Databases	JDBC Connection Profile Sybase ASA Connection Profile Sybase ASE Connection Profile Sybase ASIQ Connection Profile

As an alternative to creating connection profiles, you can use the default connection profiles available in the Enterprise Explorer. If you installed any of the developer edition runtime servers or databases included with Sybase WorkSpace, such as Unwired Orchestrator, EAServer, Adaptive Server Anywhere, Adaptive Server Enterprise, or Unwired Accelerator, a set of fully configured default connection profiles is available for your use.
