Editing Key Values

Once you create a new autofill key, you must then set the value for it. You can also edit the information for existing autofill keys such as the key name or key type anytime.

Note

Read-only keys cannot be edited or deleted.

To add the value for a new autofill key:

  1. In the Mobile Personalization view, right-click the key for which you want to add a value and select Edit My Key Value.

  2. In the Edit a Key Value dialog box, enter a value for your autofill key in the Value field, and click OK.

To edit autofill keys:

  1. In the Mobile Personalization view, right-click the autofill key for which you want to change the information and select Edit Key.

  2. In the Edit the Autofill Key dialog box, you can edit these fields:

    • Autofill Key Name

    • Autofill Key Type

    • Description

    • Define as Read-only – after the information is entered, select this box to make the key uneditable by the user.

You can display a list of all the keys that have values defined for the current user. The list shows the key information and values, and you can edit them from the list.

To display key values:

From the Mobile Personalization view, right-click any key. The List All My Values window displays. The available actions are described in the following table.

Add Key Value

Click Add Key Value to open the Define a Key Value dialog. Use this dialog to assign values to defined keys that have not yet had values added. If the defined keys already have their values assigned, you see a message that there are no editable autofill keys on the Server.

  • Autofill Adapter – select the autofill adapter from the drop-down list.

  • Autofill Key Name – select the autofill key from the drop-down list.

  • Value – enter the value for the selected autofill key.

    Click OK when you are finished.

Edit Key Value

  1. Select the key value you want to edit from the list, and click Edit Key Value.

  2. Enter the new value in the Edit a Key Value dialog, and click OK.

Remove Key Value

From the list of keys, select the key value you want to remove, and click Remove Key Value. There is no confirmation dialog, so be sure you are removing the correct key value.
