The Template Editor displays whenever you edit an existing template, or generate a new template. It allows you to preview templates, view content, and modify certain general template properties. To generate and edit a template for a specific device type, see Generating and Editing Templates.
Accessing the Template Editor
Double-click the template you want to edit, or select File | New |Template. The Template Editor appears.
The following tables describe the various Template Editor pages/sections: Introduction, Properties, Content , and Preview.
Introduction
The Introduction section displays initially when you launch the Template Editor.

Start | Opens the Content page/section, which displays the location of the template. |
Tutorial | Launches the Mobile Development cheat sheets, which guide you through the process of developing mobile applications, generating new templates, deploying to a mobile device, and so on. You can also access the tutorials from the main menu by selecting Help | Cheat Sheets | Mobile Development and the cheat sheet name. |
Help | Displays a context-sensitive help dialog box., from which you can navigate to Mobile development help by selecting Sybase WorkSpace | Mobile Development. |
Content
When you click the Content section, the XML content and path that defines the template displays.
Properties
The Properties section of the Template Editor contains general information about the template.

Roles | Assign the appropriate roles to the template. When you assign a role to a template, all users assigned that role can access the template in Unwired Accelerator. NoteOnce you add a mobile application to a page, the roles assigned to the page and mobile applications supersede the roles assigned to the underlying template. A template's roles pertain only to which roles can access templates in Unwired Accelerator. |
Information | Displays status and information about the template. |
Preview your changes by clicking the Preview section. Select File | Save to save your changes.
