You can sort or filter the data displayed in Referenced Tables view and in the Table Data editor.
Filtering and sorting criteria apply only to the environment where you enter them. For example, if you sort a table by city in Referenced Tables and open that table (or have it open already) in Table Data editor, the sort by city does not affect the display in Table Data editor.
To sort or filter data displayed:
Select a table:
In Referenced Tables view, click a table or view in the list frame.
In Table Data editor, click anywhere in the table.
Click the small Up Arrow icon below the table details.
The Select statement frame appears.
To filter data displayed, click Where and enter a where clause.
To sort data displayed, click Order by and enter an order by clause.
Click Retrieve.
The table redisplays with your filtering and sorting criteria applied.
You must enter the where or order by clause manually. Content Assist is not available in Referenced Tables or Table Data editor.
If you get an error Column 'value' not found, be sure you have entered the selection criteria correctly, enclosing character data in single quotes.
