Sybase recommends that you keep your system current with the latest patch level. Refer to the Hewlett-Packard Company Web site for patch information.
When installing patches, log in as “root” (superuser) and follow the directions provided with the patch. All tasks for adjusting the operating system configuration must be performed as “root”. Failure to install the necessary patch bundle and patches before starting Sybase IQ will require reinstalling Sybase IQ.
The following minimum operating system patch bundles and patches are required to run Sybase IQ 12.7 on HP-UX
HP-UX 11.23 – patch level B.11.23.0512.034
HP-UXi 11.23 – patch level B.11.22.0306.4
