Transferring Messages

During this phase, messages are transfered from a Publisher to a Subscriber. This is the second data processing stage.

Minimizing or eliminating packet re-transmission due to dropped packets is the single most important factor in maximizing RAP performance.

Latency; that is, the elasped time that messages take to travel across the network from publisher to subscriber, can also affect RAP and message processing performance.

Note: Latency is a statistic, not a configurable value. However, latency can be affected by network and database configuration.
