Configuring a Scalability Environment

Perform these steps when running a scalability environment.

  1. To avoid losing information within the writer nodes during synchronization, you must develop a process to automate the backup and restoring of information in the RAP_WORK_FILE table during the synchronization process. See Using Sybase IQ 15.1 Multiplex Guide for more information.
  2. Remove the message definition templates from the templates directory for subscribers that do not receive any incoming market data messages.
  3. Do not use the default named cache for the RAPCache server, so that you avoid incorrect cache percentage full numbers due to system process sharing of the default cache.
