Express Setup

The express installation is intended for systems where default values for ports and tuning parameters are acceptable.

1. Demo Feed Handler Express Configuration
   As part of the express installation, you can choose to configure the demo feed handler. You can identify multicast data channels and identify the JINI host server.
2. FAST Feed Handler Express Configuration
   Provide FAST feed parameters, identify data channels to be used by the feed handler, and enter the JINI server host name.
3. Publisher API Express Configuration
   As part of the express installation, you can choose to configure the publisher API. You can identify data channels to be used by the publisher API, set the number of message buffers, and enter the JINI server host name.
4. RAPCache Database Server
   There are no configuration options to set when you install the RAPCache database server, but the demo installer silently installs Adaptive Server 15.5, which creates the cache database objects, tables, and default user accounts for the Operations Console. All configuration parameters are set to Adaptive Server defaults.
5. RAPCache Subscriber Express Configuration
   Set configuration settings for RAPCache subscriber.
6. RAPStore Database Server
   The installer silently installs Sybase IQ 15.1 ESD #1, which creates the RAPStore database objects. During installation, the installer sets all configuration parameters to IQ defaults.
7. RAPStore Subscriber Express Configuration
   Specify where to store temporary market data files, assign data channels and publishers, and identify the JINI server host name.
8. Demo Subscriber Express Configuration
   Configure the demo subscriber. Assign data channels and publishers, and enter the JINI server host name.
9. Operations Console Express Configuration
   Installation in an express setup is noninteractive; values are automatically assigned.
