Installing PowerDesigner

Install PowerDesigner 15.1 for Windows from the Adaptive Server Enterprise 15.5 PC-Client CD.

You must download a SySAM license file from the Sybase Product Download Center (SPDC) to install and run PowerDesigner.

Refer to the SySAM online documentation at http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp or the Sybase Software Asset Management 2.0 Users Guide on the Getting Started CD.

  1. Download a SySAM license file from the Sybase Product Download Center (SPDC).

    The SySAM license type is SS (Standalone seat).

  2. Choose a license model:

    • Served: requires a license server.

    • Unserved: license file is on client machine.

  3. Install PowerDesigner from the installation media.
  4. Enter the PowerDesigner license key obtained from SPDC.
