Creating a Truncation Rule

Create new truncation rules from the Truncation Rules subtab.

  1. Click the Truncation Rules subtab.
  2. In the Truncation Rules pane, click Create New Truncation Rule to open the rule creation page.
  3. Enter a unique name for the rule.
  4. In the Truncation Details pane, select the RAPCache and RAPCache Subscriber. Enter your RAPCache user name and password.
    Note: If there is only one RAPCache, the name of it replaces the selection list.
  5. Select a database name and table name.
  6. Select a column representing the age of the data to be deleted.
  7. Select a time duration of minutes, hours, or days, and enter a number to specify the age of the data to be truncated.
  8. In the Execution Conditions pane, select either Cache-full Based or Interval.
    • For cache-full based rules, enter a number in the percentage field to define the cache percentage threshold.
    • For scheduled rules, select a time interval and execution days. Enter a minute number to clarify the time interval.
  9. Click Save.
