Operations Monitoring

Use the Message Flow subtab to monitor status of components and component connectivity, start or stop components, refresh system view, display a log file, and view component statistics, file activity, and latency information.

• Monitoring System Components and Connections
  Verify that components are connected properly, and running, using the System View pane on the Message Flow subtab.
• Publishers
  Publishers send market data messages to subscribers. Publisher panes on the Monitor tab display statistics about market data message deliveries.
• Subscribers
  Subscribers write published messages to a database or file. Subscriber panes on the Monitor tab display statistics about market data messages that the subscriber received and processed.
• RAPStore Database
  RAPStore is a Sybase IQ 15.1 ESD #1 database that provides long-term storage and access to historical market data.
• RAPCache Database
  RAPCache is an Adaptive Server® Enterprise 15.5 database that provides short-term storage and immediate access to inbound market data.
• Latency
  Latency statistics represent the length of time it takes messages to travel from publisher to subscriber, and to be stored in the RAPCache or RAPStore database.
