Shutting down an instance

Use the shutdown command to shut down an individual instance in the cluster. You can shut down an instance from another instance in the cluster.

1. Log in to any instance. For example:

   isql  –Usa  –P –Smycluster –I$SYBASE/interfaces
   

2. Issue the shutdown command:

   shutdown ase2
