Before you install Mirror Replication Agent, you must decide whether to configure an unserved license or a served license. During installation, you may choose either option. In either case, license files called license-mrx.lic and license-ecda.lic are installed in $SYBASE/SYSAM-2_0/licenses (UNIX) or %SYBASE%\SYSAM-2_0\licenses (Windows).
Some products or specific license types may not allow
you to choose a license model. If this occurs, use the license model
dictated by the product or license type. For example, tools products
purchased under a floating license type require that you use a served
license model.
The Mirror Activator components and their licenses are described as follows:
The license-mrx.lic file contains a valid SySAM license for Mirror Replication Agent component.
The license-ecda.lic file contains a valid SySAM license file for the ECDA component. If ECDA has been installed in a different directory than Mirror Replication Agent, copy this file to the $SYBASE/SYSAM-2_0/licenses (UNIX) or %SYBASE%\SYSAM-2_0\licenses (Windows) directory of the ECDA installation.
For the Replication Server component, you must obtain a Mirror Activator license from the SPDC Web site.
