Chapter 7: EAServer Configuration

Configuring EAServer

Run Configurator to enable deployment of Sybase WorkSpace services to a standalone EAServer installation.

To configure EAServer

Start the configurator. Run one of the following:

**Table 7-3: configurator.exe file**
Platform	Directory
Windows	<installation directory>\Orch-5_0\config\configurator\ configurator.exe
Solaris	<installation directory>/Orch-5_0/config/configurator/ configurator

The Configurator Welcome window appears.

Initiate the configuration process. Click Next on the Installer Welcome window.

The Jaguar properties page appears.
Enter or browse for the directory of the EAServer standalone installation.

Enter the following information for the stand-alone EAServer installation and click Next:

Property	Description
Jaguar Server	Enter the server name for the EAS standalone installation. The default value is Jaguar.
Jaguar User Name	Enter the User Name for the EAS standalone installation. The default value is jagadmin.
Jaguar Password	Enter the password for the EAS standalone installation. The default value is null.

If you receive and error message warning you of the wrong edition of EAServer, see “Installing Unwired Orchestrator with a Standalone EAServer Advanced Edition Installation” for more information.

Review the configuration summary information, and click Next to start the Sybase Unwired Orchestrator configuration, using the specified parameters.

The installer displays the progress of the configuration.

The configuration process may take some time to complete. Allow the installer time to run the configuration without interruption. Failure to do so may result in problems when deploying the EAServer.
Click Finish when the following message appears:

Sybase Unwired Orchestrator 5.0 has been configured.
Restart Unwired Orchestrator.
