Alerts are user-defined text messages that are generated based on specific conditions and put to a specified transport for display via a variety of alert targets, including email.
Several types of alerts can be configured in Unwired Orchestrator:
Alert Type |
Description |
Runtime Alerts |
Alert messages are generated directly from Unwired Orchestrator when the runtime engine suspends or shuts down. A runtime alert message uses a standard format and is configured to generate an email message to a user-defined email address. |
Business Process Alerts |
Alert messages are generated directly from Unwired Orchestrator based on user-defined conditions for a business process. The alert message format and target destination are also user-defined. For example, if a business process contains an activity to check inventory, a business process alert can be configured to generate an alert message if inventory is insufficient. |
Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) Alerts |
Alert messages are generated from the BizTracker monitoring and auditing component. In this case, a process probe sends a probe message for tracking by BizTracker. Based on the probe message, alert messages are generated based on user-defined conditions. The alert message format and target destination are also user-defined. |
A different type of configuration is required for each type of alert message:
