Alerts are user-defined text messages that are put to a specified transport for display via a variety of Alert mechanisms.
After defining alerts for a SetType, you must specify how the alert message is generated. You can do this by using the New Alert Generation Definition wizard or by defining a rule that calls the alert message by name. A rule generates an alert if the original message contains a filled Alerts element or if the subscription action argument for the rule sets, or populates, the Alerts element of the message.
