Use the following worksheet to identify information that you should designate and record prior to installing DirectConnect for DB2 UDB. You are prompted for this information during installation.
Much of the DirectConnect for DB2 UDB installation process is accomplished when you configure the DRDA data sources using the Windows ODBC Administrator tool. You use this tool to set up connectivity, and create and bind packages to the DRDA system. As a result, terms on the installation worksheets are identified with one of the three windows:
The General window, where connectivity parameters are entered and tested
The Advanced window, where parameters can affect performance and resource use.
The Bind window, where packages are created and bound to the DRDA system
Be sure to have the IP address of the machine on which
you are installing DirectConnect for DB2 UDB.

Package: Record the name of the package that the driver uses to process static and dynamic SQL for applications that use this data source definition. The default name is DEFxx, where xx is the version number.
