On the Windows NT platform, the Sybase installation process performs a nearly complete installation of Historical Server. The installation process does the following regarding Historical Server:
Copies Historical Server files to the Sybase installation directory.
Adds parameter values for the Historical Server start-up command to the NT Registry. It uses default values for these parameters. The entries are under:
\\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SYBASE\SERVER\ servername\Parameters
Adds the new Historical Server to the list of services in the NT Registry. The entry is under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ Services
Adds Historical Server connectivity information to the sql.ini file in the Sybase installation directory on the Historical Server machine.
