Use the following procedure if you need to alter a replicate object (table or stored procedure) while replication is in progress:
Suspend the subscription that contains the replicate article that identifies the replicate object you need to alter.
Delete the replicate article.
Alter the table or stored procedure in the replicate database.
Create a new replicate article to identify the replicate object.
Materialize or validate the new replicate article.
Resume the subscription that contains the replicate article.
