srvbuildres

Description

Creates, using resource files, a new Adaptive Server, Backup Server, Monitor Server, or XP Server with default or user-specified values for key configuration attributes. srvbuildres is located in $SYBASE/ASE-12_5/bin.

This utility is not available on Windows NT.

Syntax

srvbuildres
	[-ssybase_dir]
	[-Iinterfaces_file]
	[-rresource_file]

srvbuildres -v

Parameters

-s sybase_dir: specifies the value to use for the SYBASE environment variable.

-I interfaces_file: specifies the name and location of the interfaces file to search when connecting to Adaptive Server.

-r resource_file: executes the specified resource file.

-v: prints the version number and copyright message for srvbuildres and then exits.

Usage

You must set the SYBASE environment variable to the location of the current version of Adaptive Server before you can use srvbuildres.

Permissions

You must be a Sybase System Administrator to use srvbuildres.
