Before you can start a Mirror Replication Agent instance and connect to the primary data server, you must set all required variables:
Add the location of the JDBC driver for the primary database to the CLASSPATH environment variable.
If the character set on your Mirror Replication Agent is different from the one on your primary database, you need to set the RA_JAVA_DFLT_CHARSET environment variable, so it is the same as that of the primary database. For more information, see the following section.
