The tutorials use the SybStore sample application, which is a sales and inventory system that automates the following retail business processes:
A customer buys items from the store, and the cash register records that the items have been removed from the shelves.
The sales and inventory system notifies the stock clerk on a PDA to restock the items.
The stock clerk receives an e-mail message (on his or her PDA) to restock specific items when the sales and inventory system determines that restocking is required.
When restocking is complete, the stock clerk updates the sales and inventory system, using the PDA.

The illustration includes several actions that are not
implemented in the SybStore tutorial application. The actions that
are implemented in the SybStore tutorials are shown in the shaded block
area and contain enough examples to demonstrate how to use Sybase
WorkSpace.
