This section describes how to start and stop the Tomcat application server.

Starting the Tomcat application server
From a terminal window, navigate to $SYBASE.
Enter starttomcat.sh
.
When Tomcat starts, you see:
Using CATALINA_BASE: $SYBASE/tomcat Using CATALINA_HOME: $SYBASE/tomcat Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: $SYBASE//tomcat/temp Using JAVA_HOME: ./JDK1.4.2_06
Shutting down the Tomcat application server
From a terminal window, navigate to $SYBASE.
Enter stoptomcat.sh
