After you install the core components and activate your SySAM license, restart the RAPCache server. To start RAPCache, you execute a RUN_<server_name> file that contains the information required to start or restart the server.
Open a command window.
Change directory to $RAP30/RAPCache.
Use the appropriate shell command to source the environment variables:
source SYBASE.csh
or
. ./SYBASE.sh
Change directory to $RAP30/RAPCache/ASE-15_0/install.
Use this command to start the RAPCache server:
./startserver -f RUN_<server_name>
where <server_name> is the name of the server.
For example, the RUN_<server_name> file name for an Adaptive Server named rapserver is RUN_rapserver.
