Chapter 10 Working with Replication Server
A RepServer server is a server engine that makes a copy of data incoming from a given database into one or several databases or replication processes. A RepServer server distributes messages to and from a database via a connection. The Sybase server program maintains replicated data on a LAN, and manages data transactions received from other replication servers on the same LAN or on a WAN.
PowerDesigner models RepServer servers as standard replication processes with a Replication Server type and additional properties. For information about creating and working with replication processes, see "Replication Processes" in the "Building Information Liquidity Diagrams" chapter.
