Chapter 9 Working with Data Models
The following PDM model checks are made on defaults:
Check | Description and Correction |
---|---|
Default name and code uniqueness | Default names and codes must be unique in the model.
Manual correction: Modify the duplicate name/code Automatic correction: Appends a number to the duplicate name/code |
Default code maximum length | The default code length is limited by the maximum length specified in the DBMS definition (MaxLen entry, in the Objects→Default category).
Manual correction: Modify the default code length to meet this requirement Automatic correction: Truncates the default code length to the maximum length specified in the DBMS definition |
Default value empty | You must type a value for the default, this value is used during generation.
Manual correction: Type a value in the Value box of the default property sheet Automatic correction: None |
Several defaults with same value | A model should not contain several defaults with identical value.
Manual correction: Modify default value or delete defaults with identical value Automatic correction: None |
