XML document property sheet XSM Models tab

In the XSM Models tab, you can define with which XML Model (XSM) the XML document is associated. This association allows you to describe the content of the XML document. The XSM is a schema of the XML document. You can also delete associations you no longer want.

You can open the XSM Models tab by right-clicking the XML document symbol in the diagram, and selecting XML Models.

Steps To associate an XSM with an XML document:

  1. Open an XML document property sheet.
  2. Click the XML Models tab and click the Add existing XML Models tool in the toolbar to open a selection list.
  3. Select one or more XSMs and click OK.

The selected XSMs are displayed in the XML Models tab. You can select an XSM and click the Open Model tool in the toolbar to open the associated XSM.
  4. Click OK to close the property sheet.

Note   Open Model contextual menu
You can directly open an XSM associated with an XML document by right-clicking an XML document symbol in the diagram and select the Open Model command. If several models are associated with the XML document, a selection dialog box is displayed. Select an XSM and click OK.
