Generating remote Sybase AS Anywhere database for a single MobiLink user

In the Information Liquidity Model, articles reflect the structure of the remote database. Articles and article columns must have the same name as those of the remote tables and columns.

Once articles are defined, you have to make sure that the remote database PDM matches the definition of articles.

If you create MobiLink synchronization from:

After you have updated the remote database structure, you can generate or modify it.

You also have to generate or modify the publications and synchronization subscriptions.

Steps To update the remote database PDM:

  1. Right-click the remote database symbol in the diagram and select Update Remote Database from the contextual menu.

    The Merge Models dialog box opens to allow you to verify the merge actions.

Steps To generate the remote database:

  1. Right-click the remote database symbol in the diagram and select Generate Database from the contextual menu.
  2. Select the data source of the remote Sybase AS Anywhere database.

Steps To modify the remote database:

  1. Right-click the remote database symbol in the diagram and select Modify Database from the contextual menu.
  2. Select the data source of the remote Sybase AS Anywhere database.

Steps To generate the publications and subscriptions:

  1. Right-click the remote database symbol in the diagram and select Generate and Execute Scripts from the contextual menu.
  2. Select the data source of the remote Sybase AS Anywhere database
