Chapter 13 Working with MobiLink
Before you can associate a PDM with a consolidated or remote database, you must consider the following options:
The consolidated or remote database already exists You can reverse engineer the database using the Reverse Engineer Database command from the contextual menu of the existing database and associate the created PDM with the database object of the ILM
The remote database does not exist You can deduce the remote database structure from the definition of articles using the Update Remote Database command from the remote database contextual menu. You must create a subscription in order to use this command
The remote database has exactly the same structure as the consolidated database You can associate the same PDM with the remote database as the one associated with the consolidated database
