
Chapter 13 Working with Java
Reverse engineering EJB components
You reverse engineer EJB components located in .JAR files using the following method (the same method applies to Class and Java directories):
To reverse engineer EJB components:
- Select Language→Reverse Engineer Java.
The Reverse Java dialog box is displayed.
- Select Archive from the Reverse list in the Selection page.
- Click the Add button.
A standard Open dialog box is displayed.
Using the Remove button
You can click the Remove button to remove a selection from the list.
- Select the items you want to reverse and click Open.
The Reverse Java dialog box displays the items you selected.
- Click the Options tab to display the options page.
- Select the Reverse Engineer Deployment Descriptor check box.
- Click OK.
A progress box is displayed. If the model in which you are reverse engineering already contains data, the Merge Models dialog box is displayed.

- Click OK.
The Reverse page of the Output window displays the changes that occurred during reverse and the diagram window displays the updated model.
