Chapter 12 Generating Other Models from an OOM
To generate a Physical Data Model, you have two possibilities:
You must indicate the parameters below when you generate a new PDM:
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
DBMS | Database Management System definition for the resulting PDM |
Share | The resulting PDM uses a shared DBMS definition file stored in the DBMS library |
Copy | The resulting PDM uses a copy of the DBMS definition file in the model |
Name | File name for the resulting PDM |
Code | Reference code for the resulting PDM |
Configure Model Options | Lets you specify model options for the model to be generated. For example links to requirements in the origin model are preserved, by default, in the generated model, unless you clear the Enable Links Requirements checkbox in the Model Options dialog box before starting the generation |
