Chapter 18 Working with Sybase WorkSpace Business Process
Import BPEL use case
A developer wants to implement in WorkSpace an already defined executable process. He can use PowerDesigner as a bridge for importing BPEL files into the Sybase WorkSpace Business Process. The developer needs to:
- Reverse engineer the BPEL files. To do so you have to select File→Reverse Engineer→Process Language, then select a project and folder, and select the BPEL4WS language in the Process Language list, together with the different BPEL files to reverse engineer.
- Change the process language using the Language→Change Current Process Language command and select Sybase WorkSpace Business Process 1.0.
- Check the current model in order to make sure it contains no error that would prevent file generation. The check model feature also verifies that the current PowerDesigner model is compliant with Sybase WorkSpace Business Process prerequisite and may perform automatic corrections if need be.
- Generate the Sybase WorkSpace Business Process files using the Language→Generate Sybase WorkSpace Business Process 1.0 code command. See the "Generating Sybase WorkSpace Business Process files" section for details on generated files.
- Use Business Process Service Editor to continue process implementation
