Chapter 14 Generating Other Models from a BPM

Generating an Executable BPM

This section explains the transformations that occur when you generate an executable Business Process Model from:

When performing the generation process, specific transformations are executed depending on the source BPM.

Change Current Process Language

The Change Current Process Language command from the Language menu can also allow you to generate an executable BPM from an analysis, a collaborative or even an executable BPM. Unlike the BPM generation feature, the Change Current Language command does not allow you to create a new model. It automatically replaces the content of your current model by performing the appropriate transformations on the whole model, preventing you from doing any object selection.

For more information on the Change Current Process Language command, see section Changing the process language of a BPM in chapter Business process Model Basics.

Note that when you change the process language of a model from one of the BPEL languages or SOA language to the Sybase Unwired Orchestrator language, some transformations are not performed. In order to be sure that all the appropriate transformations are applied, you must use the BPM generation feature.
