Verifying WebSphere Descriptors

In addition to the standard J2EE application, EJB and web descriptors, WebSphere Application Server and WSAD use many other descriptors, all of which are in XML format.

Before generating the code for WebSphere Application Server and WSAD, you can preview the most important descriptors to verify that they are properly defined.

Steps To preview the descriptors:

  1. Open the property sheet of the package or the model that defines an archive.
  2. Click the Preview tab, where you can verify the J2EE application descriptor and the EJB deployment descriptor:
