Chapter 4 Building an Information Liquidity Model
The General tab contains the following properties:
Property | Description |
---|---|
Name | The name of the item which should be clear and meaningful, and should convey the item's purpose to non-technical users |
Code | The technical name of the item used for generating code or scripts, which may be abbreviated, and should not generally include spaces. |
Comment | Descriptive comment for the object. |
Stereotype | Extends the semantics of an object derived from existing objects but specific to your needs. You can type stereotypes directly in the Stereotype box of the object property sheet or select a value from the list if you have previously defined stereotypes in an embedded or imported extended model definition (.XEM). |
Process | Name of the replication process that owns the publication. |
Data Connection | Connection for which data or procedures are published. You have to select from the list among available incoming database connections of the parent replication process. |
Type | Database, Publication or Replication Definitions. Type for the publication that displays only when you select Replication Server in the Type list of the property sheet of the parent replication process. You can visualize in the Preview tab the generated code according to the type you selected. |
The type you selected changes the generated code:
Publication type | Generated code |
---|---|
Database | All the database is generated. |
Publication | Publications, replication definitions and articles are generated. |
Replication definition | Only replication definitions are generated. |
