Chapter 4 Building an Information Liquidity Model

Defining an information liquidity diagram

An information liquidity diagram shows the migration of data within an enterprise. It shows how data, which come from databases, are moved by replication processes using data connections.

To do so, you define databases, replication processes and their data connection links.

Databases are associated with Physical Data Models (PDM) that represent databases structure.

Replication processes can be defined for two targets: Replication Server and Mobilink. They contain publications and article definitions that describe which data are going to be replicated and how.

For more information about Replication Server and Mobilink, see respectively the "Working with Replication Server" chapter and "Working with Mobilink" chapter.

An information liquidity diagram can be created in a model or a package.
