Chapter 2 Information Liquidity Model Basics

Functional overview

PowerDesigner Information Liquidity Model is a powerful design tool to make replication engines design and configuration easier to use. Tightly linked to the Physical Data Model, the Information Liquidity Model allows you to replicate objects from a source database to one or several replication engines or databases. Its goal being to give a global representation of the whole set of replications.

With this product, you can:

Build a Information Liquidity Model (ILM)
Represent mappings between different models in the same diagram
Configure parameters to database connection
Generate Replication Server .SQL files and reverse engineering Replication Server objects
Generate MobiLink .SQL files and reverse engineering MobiLink objects
Generate an Information Liquidity Model from the ILM to create different levels of implementation of your model
Customize the ILM to suit physical and performance considerations
Create and print reports
