Chapter 3 Building Structural Diagrams
The General tab contains the following properties:
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Specifies the name of the item, which should be clear and meaningful, and should convey the item's purpose to non-technical users. Calculated, read-only value. |
| Code | Specifies the technical name of the object, which is used for generating code or scripts. Calculated, read-only value. |
| Comment | Descriptive comment for the object. |
| Stereotype | Extends the semantics of the object beyond the core UML definition. |
| Object A | Name of the object at one end of the instance link. You can click the Properties tool beside this box to display the object property sheet |
| Object B | Name of the object at the other end of the instance link. You can click the Properties tool beside this box to display the object property sheet |
| Association | Association between classes (or association between a class and an interface) that the instance link uses to communicate between objects of these classes. You can click the Properties tool beside this box to display the association property sheet |
